ONLINE CLAY POT TERRACOTTA WORKSHOP WITH JAGDISH KUMHAR

Have you ever tried making a pot without a potter's wheel? This workshop allows you to explore the unique way of creating and designing your own terracotta clay pots. Decorate your homes with these earthly, sustainable and purposeful terracotta pots. You will be guided through the process of mixing, moulding and sculpting a terracotta pot without a wheel, followed by a decorating process which will involve the use of a toothpick to create intricate designs on your pot. 

This will be two classes of two hours each for beginners and will be conducted over Zoom  - adults or children above 8 years can join.  In this workshop we will learn to create a terracotta clay pot and then decorate it with terracotta motifs. The Master artist will teach you how to make this terracotta pot with no potters wheel so anyone can signup for this workshop.

About the Artist: For many generations Jagdish  ji's family have practiced the tradition of making terracotta artworks. 

The following materials will be sent by us for this workshop

• Ready Terracotta made by the artist : 2 kg
• MDF ply board 10 by 12 inches on which to mould the terracotta
• Small amount of dry wood powder
• Some toothpicks 

At your end please keep the following ready

• Old bowls to mix the clay dust etc
• Small cotton cloth/napkin
• Knife
• Ball pen (without refill) which will be used for carving
• Cotton thread
• Plastic to cover the dough with
