Ruby is the birthstone for July, it is the colour of love, anger, passion and fury. It was believed those who wore rubies were bestowed with good fortune, throughout history rubies were worn by emperors and kings. Still to this day we value the gemstone just as highly. The ruby is considered one of the four most precious gemstones in the world alongside Sapphire, Emerald and Diamond.
Our beautiful antique ring features a bright central ruby alongside two diamonds and two tiny dark orange Citrine gemstones set into an ornate setting. The piece has a number of marks indicating the piece was hallmarked in Birmingham, England in 1915 from 18ct gold.
